Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp ground cayenne
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Or preheat your air fryer.
  • Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  • Toss wings in olive oil in a bowl.
  • In a small bowl, mix all dry spices.
  • Sprinkle rub mix evenly over the wings.
  • Place wings on a parchment-lined baking tray.
  • Bake for 40 minutes. Flip halfway through.
  • In a pan, warm honey and red pepper.
  • Once wings are cooked, drizzle honey mixture.
  • Toss well. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  1. Dry wings ensure crispy skin. Pat them well.
  2. Don’t skip flipping during baking. It crisps both sides.
  3. Add more cayenne for extra heat. Customize freely.
  4. Use smoked paprika, not regular, for deep flavor.
  5. Honey must be warmed for even coating.
