  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 small Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp Chili powder
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 tsp Ground cumin
  • 1 tsp Ground coriander
  • 1/2 tsp Smoked paprika
  • 2 tbsp Apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • 1/4 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until the onion turns translucent (about 4 minutes).
  • Stir in cumin, coriander, chili powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, and salt. Cook briefly until the spices smell good.
  • Add tomato sauce, apple cider vinegar, and tomato paste. Bring to a boil, then lower heat and simmer for 20 minutes. Stir occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and let the sauce cool a bit.
