Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 small green cabbage chopped
  • 3/4 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 15 oz can diced tomatoes
  • 1 15 oz can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef. Cook until browned. Drain fat.
  • Transfer beef to your slow cooker carefully.
  • Add onion, garlic, and chopped cabbage on top.
  • Pour in beef broth, tomato sauce, and diced tomatoes.
  • Stir in rice, Worcestershire, paprika, and thyme.
  • Add bay leaf. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
  • Stir halfway to keep rice from sticking.
  • Remove bay leaf before serving warm.
