- 56 ounces Ground Sweet Tomatoes (drained)
- 56 ounces Tomatoes (diced and drained)
- 4 tablespoons White Sugar (granulated)
- 2 teaspoons Garlic Salt
- 2 teaspoons Oregano (dried)
- 1 ½ cups warm Water
Place sweet tomatoes in a mixing bowl and crush gently.
Combine crushed sweet tomatoes with diced tomatoes. Fill a pot with 1 ½ cups of warm water.
Add the crushed or blended tomatoes to the pot.
Simmer tomatoes on low heat for 2 hours.
Stir in white salt, white sugar, and dried oregano.
Stir for 5–7 minutes, leaving some tomato chunks.
Continue simmering for an additional 40 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow it to cool before use.
