Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp White sugar
  • 6 Ounce Red chilis (dried or fresh)
  • 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 small  Onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 inch piece Ginger (grated)
  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Cornstarch dissolved in 2 tbsp of water
  • 1 tsp Salt

Instructions
 

  • Blend chilis, garlic, onion, and ginger for a smooth paste.
  • Put the paste in a pan, add vinegar, soy sauce, sugar, and salt. Mix.
  • Heat and gently boil, then simmer for 10 mins.
  • Mix cornstarch with water. Slowly add to the sauce, and stir.
  • Cook for 5 more mins till it's right. Adjust thickness as needed. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Gradually mix the cornstarch to avoid clumps.
  • Adjust the thickness by adding water or simmering longer as required.
