Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit five minutes.
In a bowl, combine flour, salt, and all spices.
Add yeast mixture, butter, and egg. Mix until combined.
Add dried fruits. Knead dough for eight minutes.
Cover dough and let rise for one hour.
Divide dough into twelve even-sized balls.
Place balls on parchment-lined baking tray.
Cover again. Let them rise for thirty minutes.
Mix flour and water for cross paste.
Pipe crosses on top of each bun.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for twenty minutes.
Boil water and sugar to make glaze.
Brush warm buns with sugar glaze.
