Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Tongs
  • Baking sheet or air fryer
  • Wire rack (for baking)
  • Small saucepan (for glaze)
  • Meat thermometer
  • Silicone brush

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings drums and flats
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (or preheat the air fryer to 375°F). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness. Place them in a large bowl.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the wings, then sprinkle with Old Bay, garlic powder, paprika, pepper, and salt. Toss to coat evenly.
  • Arrange wings on the wire rack in a single layer. Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, or air fry for 25-30 minutes.
  • While the wings cook, prepare the glaze. In a saucepan, combine honey, apple cider vinegar, and Dijon mustard. Simmer over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  • Remove wings and brush generously with the honey glaze. Return to oven or air fryer for another 5-7 minutes to caramelize.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot. Enjoy your Honey Old Bay Wings Recipe with ranch or blue cheese dip!

Notes

  1. Pat the wings dry: This helps the seasoning stick and ensures a crispy skin.
  2. Use a wire rack: Elevating the wings allows air to circulate, resulting in even cooking.
  3. Don’t skip the glaze: The honey-based glaze is what sets this Honey Old Bay Wings Recipe apart.
  4. Monitor the glaze closely: Honey can burn quickly, so keep a close eye when caramelizing.
  5. Rest the wings: Letting them sit for 5 minutes helps the glaze set and enhances flavor.
