Ingredients

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh dill
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon turmeric

Instructions
 

  • Rinse rice until water runs clear.
  • Heat olive oil in a large pan.
  • Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Add rice and stir to coat well.
  • Pour chicken broth into the pan.
  • Add salt, pepper, and turmeric if using.
  • Bring the mixture to a boil gently.
  • Reduce heat and cover the pan tightly.
  • Simmer for 15-18 minutes until rice is tender.
  • Remove pan from heat and let sit.
  • Add lemon juice and lemon zest carefully.
  • Fluff rice using a fork lightly.
  • Stir in fresh dill and parsley quickly.
  • Taste and adjust salt if needed.
  • Serve warm with your favorite protein.
