- 1 pound Ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon Oregano flakes (dried)
- 1 tablespoon Cumin seeds
- 1 Red onion (diced)
- 1/2 cup Green chiles canned (chopped)
- 4 cloves Garlic (minced)
- 2 cups Black beans (canned)
- 1/2 packet Chili seasoning mix
- 1 cup Tomato paste (canned)
- 3.5 cups Tomatoes crushed (canned)
Begin by heating oil in a large pot on medium-high heat.
Add diced onion, and cook for 5 minutes until softened, stirring occasionally.
After adding ground beef, cook it for 8-10 minutes until it is no longer pink, breaking it up along the way.
Add tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, green chiles, cumin seeds, oregano flakes, garlic powder, and chili seasoning mix.
Combine all ingredients and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Add black beans and cook for 10 more minutes until heated through.
Add cheese, onions, and sour cream to your delicious Golo Chili as a topping!
- Brown the beef first for more flavor.
- Remember to rinse the beans to reduce salt.
- Add sour cream and cheese for extra yum.
