Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup  Onion (chopped)
  • 1 cup  Beef broth
  • 3/4 cup  Soy sauce (reduced-sodium)
  • 1/2 cup olive oil (divided)
  • 4-1/2 teaspoons Garlic (minced)  
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons Ground mustard
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons  Ground ginger
  • steak Beef flank  (1-1/2 pounds)
  • 1 medium  Cut sweet red pepper into 1-inch strips
  • 1 medium  Slice sweet yellow pepper into 1-inch strips
  • 1 medium Red onion, (thickly sliced)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Pepper
  • French rolls (split)

Instructions
 

  • Combine onion, wine, soy sauce, olive oil, garlic, mustard, and ginger.
  • Pour cups of water into the dish; add the steak and coat well.
  • Pour the remaining marinade into the dish; add peppers and onion.
  • Refrigerate both for 3 hours, turning occasionally.
  • Drain marinade from steak. Lightly oil grill rack.
  • Cook the steak on the grill for 4-5 minutes on each side.
  • Drain marinade from vegetables. Grill in the basket.
  • Brush rolls with pepper, oil, and garlic mixture.
  • Grill cut side down for 2-3 minutes.
  • Slice the steak thinly and put it on the bottom part of the bun.
  • Cover the steak with the vegetables and the top part of the bun. Serve as soon as possible.

  • Marinate flank steak for rich flavor.
  • Grill veggies until tender and charred.
  • Toast French rolls for extra crunch.
  • Assemble the sandwich with care.
