Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz chow mein noodles
  • 1 lb beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger grated
  • 1 bell pepper sliced
  • 1 carrot julienned
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 2 green onions chopped
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cook noodles per package instructions, drain well.
  • Toss beef with cornstarch and a pinch of salt.
  • Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Sear beef slices until browned, then remove them.
  • Add garlic, ginger to the skillet, cook until fragrant.
  • Add bell pepper, carrot, cabbage, and cook until tender.
  • Add cooked noodles to the skillet, toss to combine.
  • Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil.
  • Return beef to the skillet, add beef broth, mix well.
  • Cook until sauce thickens and noodles are well coated.
  • Top with chopped green onions before serving hot.

Notes

  1. Slice beef thinly for quick, even cooking.
  2. Use fresh noodles for better texture in the dish.
  3. Add broccoli or snap peas for extra crunch.
  4. Do not overcrowd the pan to keep beef tender.
